Our service theme for the next few Sundays will be:
A sk

K nock
In the effort to build up and increase our children's Faith, I would like to encourage parents to share their "Faith Stories". We often share them during testimony time with our church family, but neglect to remind our children of them often.
For small children, an excellent time to do this is during your normal bedtime story/devotional time; for older children during dinner time, devotion time, or in the car. By sharing and remembering often what God has done for your family, your extended family, and church families...the miracles, the healing, the answered prayers...your child's Faith will be strengthened and yours will also.
It doesn't matter if your child already knows the story...just start off with...."Remember when the Lord did this for us." Reminding them of the Lord's goodness will lay memorial stones of Faith for them live by.
Jos 4:5-7 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: (6) That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? (7) Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
Sometimes, our children come to us and want us to pray for the "impossible" and our hearts and faith plummet to the ground. Now is the time to gird up our Faith, and like Abraham, believe God for the impossible according to His good Will.
Answered prayers come to those who "Ask..Seek..Knock".
Mat 7:7,8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
If you would like to share your faith stories here...just click on "comments" and share what God has done for you! We can build up our own library of Faith!
Tip for the week: At bedtime or naptime children often have a hard time settling down to sleep or are afraid by themselves. Play some children's worship & praise music C.D.'s. They will have something to listen to that will keep their mind on the Lord as they drift off to sleep.
