Our Children's church lesson for December 12th:
Mat 11:3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
The imprisoned John the Baptist needed to be reassured that Jesus was indeed the Messiah. Jesus did not reprimand him, but instructed John's disciples to
Mat 11:4-6 "...Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."
Have you ever wished upon a star?
We need to reassure each other that the Word of God is REAL and it is TRUE, not an imaginary story. Jesus did not come to grant us our "wishes"...he came to give us eternal life.
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Jesus not an imaginary man. He is real and he is true. And He is returning soon.
